Please join in celebrating the life of Langley resident Todd Soli. He was born in Seattle in 1950 and drew his last breath on January 21, 2024.
While many on Whidbey Island may have best known the professional side of Todd as an architect, he was so much more. He was a lifelong adventurous traveler, beginning with his solo 18-month trip around the world at the age of 19. He was a fan of all things outdoors: backpacking, fishing, crabbing, skiing, and golf. He was a collector of friends and a mentor to many. He had a special gift for understanding, accepting, and loving those in difficult situations and was quick to open his heart and home.
He could best be described as a man who deeply loved his family. He is survived by his sons Gunnar (Ahna) and Cole (Kendra) and their mother Lisa Soli, as well as by his granddaughters Coral and Fenna, his sister Margaret(Herschel), his wife of 15+ years Lori Soli, her son Bobby, and all of Lori’s family which he often referred to as the “crazy Italians.” He was preceded in death by his brother Bart and his parents Wallace and Grace Soli.
While Todd died too soon, he lived his chosen life on Whidbey Island. He traveled, marveled at the beauty of his surroundings, and loved with his whole heart. He will be missed by many, but may the memory of him and his enduring love remain with all. He was grateful until the end and felt that he was a lucky man who loved his life.
