Patricia Carroll (Patty Fakkema), mother of three, and a life-long resident of Oak Harbor, WA, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024 at the age of 62.
Patty is survived by her sons Gregg (Maurine) Fakkema of Reno, NV, Chase (Andi) Fakkema of Snohomish, WA, her husband David Carroll of Kapolei, HI, her sister Laura (Stephen) Cole of Kirkland, WA and brother Terry (Pam) Lindsey of Del City, OK. Patty was preceded in death by her daughter Madison Fakkema.
Throughout her life, Patty was a selfless woman that was known for doing things her own way. She was regarded for being a Devoted Mother, Real Estate Agent, Title and Escrow Manager, Limited Practice Officer (LPO) and a Provider to Charity. She put her children first, and the needs of others before her own.
Patty was a pillar of the community in Oak Harbor, WA for more than four decades in her capacity as a Real Estate Agent, LPO and Land Title Operations Manager. She worked with thousands of families, other agents, buyers, sellers, builders and lawyers to execute and close transactions in both the commercial and residential markets for the benefit of all involved.
Patty was a compassionate person and donated a significant amount of her time and finances over the years to charity organizations such as Whidbey Island Sunrise Rotary Club, Venture Club, Boys and Girls Club, and Habitat for Humanity. A favorite of the community were Patty’s homemade cheesecakes that were auctioned off during the Festival of Trees in Oak Harbor. Patty will be deeply missed by all; may she rest easy.
A memorial service for Patty is scheduled for Saturday October 19, 2024, 1:00 pm at Wallin Stucky Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, WA.
