Vicki Lynn Helbig Beardemphl passed away on October 16, 2024 in Mt Vernon, WA after a long battle with lung disease. Her loving partner Harry Helbig was by her side at the time of her passing.
Vicki was born in Seattle on August 1, 1961 to Robert Lyle Beardemphl and Lorraine Schmick Beardemphl. She was the oldest of 4 siblings (Mark, Eric and Lori) and grew up in a loving home in Normandy Park, WA. Summers were spent on Whidbey Island visiting their grandparents and piling into the family station wagon for long road trips. After graduating from Mt Rainier High School in 1979, Vicki attended Washington State University and received her BA in Hospitality Management in 1984. Her hard work led to a successful career as a General Manager for several hotel brands and convention centers throughout the country.
In 1995 Vicki married Harry Helbig in Cour d’ Alene, Idaho. Harry’s love and support was a source of strength during the tough days of her illness. For that our family is eternally grateful.
Vicki was a free spirit with a big heart. She was kind and compassionate and offered her warmth and support to whomever needed it. Vicki also loved to laugh and was the life of the party. Most of all she cherished her family and her friends. She was the proud aunt of 6 nephews (Austin, Jake, Torsten, Bode, Nicholas and Hayden). They brought her much joy and she loved giving fun and unique gifts at birthdays and Christmas. She also loved making memories with them at the fair and the beach at Whidbey Island with Grandma Lorraine. Vicki also was a mother figure to another very special person in her life, Teresa Ricci, and considered her daughter Harper to be like her own granddaughter.
Vicki will be lovingly remembered by her partner Harry Helbig, brother Eric Beardemphl, wife Jessy and sons Jake and Nicholas of West Seattle; sister Lori Toth, husband Klaus and sons Torsten, Bode and Hayden of Seahurst, WA; sisterin law Debbie (Gagner) Beardemphl and son Austin of Des Moines, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Beardemphl (2004) and Lorraine Beardemphl (2023), and her brother Mark Beardemphl (2012).
All are welcome to a graveside memorial on December 5th at noon at Langley Woodmen Cemetery.
