Donald Trump is living up to his usual not serious irresponsible self by his picks for top positions in his cabinet. Putting forth people who have no experience in the areas they are going to run and who also lack expertise in running huge organizations.

Imagine for one, putting RFK Jr in charge of Health and Human Services. He has no medical experience, touts conspiracy theories in place of real medical knowledge and has never run a large organization. Immunizations around the world have made it safe for children, now that may be gone. He thinks it’s OK to send kids to school with measles, which will bring it roaring back. Measles and polio have been under control for years but are now creeping back.

Does anyone out there remember how bad polio was? I do. We have made such advances in medicine and he thinks we don’t need medical research anymore, what would we have done without the fairly quick response to covid and the vaccine? Maybe thousands more would have died. This way of thinking puts not only Americans but people around the world at risk, which will result in deaths.We already have seen a spike in woman’s mortality, 53% after Roe was sweep away. Do we want more of the same?

Matt Gaetz is another irresponsible, ludicrous choice. He was investigated by the ethics committee for sexual misconduct and illicit drug use. He should be the attorney general to lead the Justice Department. Top cop?

Another less-than-serious choice for the transition team Tulsi Gabbard as director of National Intelligence. She drew criticism in 2017 for quietly visiting Syria and meeting with al-Assad, also criticizing U.S. aid to Ukraine and defending Putin so a Kremlin favorite.

This is only the beginning of the inexperienced people Trump wants to head top spots in the government. I’ll say one good thing about Trump, he is a master at bringing in the worst possible people to surround himself with, perhaps thinking it will make him look good, it does not.
