Oak Harbor man accused of sex crimes

An Oak Harbor man is accused of sending a teenager nude photos of himself with a 2-year-old.

An Oak Harbor man is accused of messaging a teenager, sending her nude photos of himself with a 2-year-old child and asking her to help him turn the toddler into a “sex slave,” according to court records.

After hearing about the allegations last year, Oak Harbor detectives immediately took emergency custody of the baby from the man, who had visitation rights at the time, a detective’s report states.

This week, prosecutors charged the man, 28-year-old Jordan T. Aguilera, in Island County Superior Court Nov. 25 with five counts of communicating with a minor for immoral purposes. If convicted of the charges, he could face up to five years in prison under the standard sentencing range.

According to a detective’s report, the investigation began in October 2023 after a woman in Montana tracked down the baby’s mother and shared disturbing messages and photos that Aguilera allegedly sent to her 15-year-old daughter. In the Snapchat messages, Aguilera said he wanted to sex traffic the girl, offered to buy her a bus ticket, admitted he was a pedophile, bragged about raping and beating another girl and told the teenager he wanted her to train the baby to commit sex acts on him, the report states.

In addition, Aguilera sent nude photos of himself next to the child, the report states.

After the police went to Aguilera’s apartment to remove the child, the mother took her to the hospital for an exam. Aguilera initially lied about his identify and repeatedly changed his story about sending the photos, the detective wrote.

A detective obtained a search warrant for Snapchat accounts associated with Aguilera and the teenage girl. Snapchat provided the documents and images earlier this year.

The detective included an unrelated incident in his report on Aguilera. A personal friend of the detective contacted him in a panic last year because a strange man was following her around Walmart. He appeared in every aisle she went down but never appeared to be shopping. The detective told her to have a Walmart employee escort her to her car. Later, the suspicious man was identified from video as Aguilera, the report states.
