The U.S. Coast Guard reported the 38-foot commercial fishing vessel Sundance Kid collided with a 20-foot sport boat early Tuesday morning near the Clinton ferry dock.

“The incident took place at about 8:15 a.m. off Glendale north of Possession Point,” said Coast Guard Petty Officer Jennifer Carstensen. “There were no injuries, although the smaller boat sustained serious damages and is being escorted into Everett by Snohomish County marine units.”

Carstensen added that no pollution issues were reported and the Coast Guard is proceeding with an investigation into the cause of the accident.
