The spotlight will shine on local businesses at the Island County Biz Expo, set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16 at the Coupeville High School gym complex.
Sponsored by the Island County Economic Development Council, organizers said the expo is the largest of its kind in the region and gives island businesses a chance to showcase their products and services.
The event is expected to feature 65 vendors. The business expo is also the only one on Whidbey this year, since South Whidbey’s trade show was canceled earlier this summer due to scheduling conflicts and other problems.
Expo visitors can get a free massage, sign up for giveaways or sample local ground coffee or barbecue at the event. Exhibitors represent a wide spectrum of the business community: insurance, finance, energy, medical care, custom homes, flooring, photography, rental items, music and golf and beyond.
