Marti Anamosa has been appointed trustee on the board for the Sno-Isle Libraries.
Anamosa, a retired attorney, served on the board of the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation from 2005 to 2010, including three years as board president. She is actively involved in the South Whidbey community, including working with the Friends of the Langley Library, the Whidbey Island Writers’ Conference, and volunteering to teach and mentor local youth.
“My work on the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation board has given me a good look at the very positive impact Sno-Isle’s presence and programming has in the towns in our region,” Anamosa said.
“I have realized how much an excellent library can do to teach kids a love of reading, to get teens involved in their communities, and to help people of all ages connect through the shared experience of reading.”
The Sno-Isle Libraries is directed by a seven-member board of trustees, volunteers who are appointed by and represent Island and Snohomish counties.
