The Central Whidbey Sportsman’s Association will hold its annual turkey shoot on Saturday, Nov. 20.

The shoot is open to the public and CWSA members.

Tickets are $1.50 for a single ticket or $5 for four tickets. Shooters can register for one event or all five.

Proceeds go to WAIF, and donations of canned cat or dog food are welcome.

Events for different age groups, divided into junior shooters (12 years old and younger) and adult shooters, begin at 9 a.m. and last until 1 p.m.

The events include large bull at 25 yards, briquettes from 10 yards, shotgun at 25 yards, jug head at 25 yards and rifle shoot at 50 yards.

Bring any caliber iron-sight pistol/revolver, shotgun or .22 caliber rifle with ammunition.

For contestants who do not have a .22 rifle or pistol, the CWSA will supply one with ammunition.

Covered shooting on the pistol range will be available. Turkeys will be awarded after the first shootoffs around 1 p.m., and there is a one turkey per shooter limit.

The event is at the CWSA clubhouse and grange south of Coupeville on Safari Street, just south of Highway 20 and Morris Road and just north of the Navy’s Outlying Field.
