Whidbey Island residents can head to the Freeland or Coupeville libraries on Nov. 6 to remotely participate in a free, day-long interactive presentation on how businesses, communities and people can thrive in Island and Snohomish counties.
Dubbed TedxSnoIsleLibraries, the event will feature 23 speakers and is from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Speakers will include accomplished economists, educators, engineers, filmmakers and musicians.
The event is designed to further the mission of Sno-Isle Libraries to be a community doorway to reading, resources and lifelong learning, and a center for people, ideas and culture, according to a prepared release.
Online registration is required at sno-isle.org/tedx/attend.
