A forum focusing on alternative healthcare options will be next week in Bayview, hosted by Grethe Cammermeyer of Langley, Whidbey General Hospital commissioner for the South End.
The panel discussion “Who to See When About What” will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the South Whidbey Senior Center, 14594 Highway 525, across from the Bayview Shopping Center.
Healthcare offered by the Coupeville hospital and its Clinton clinic will be covered, along with complementary alternative options also available on the South End. Panelists will include Craig Weinston, a Freeland chiropractor; Liz Syreen, a registered nurse and acupuncturist; and Sari Spieler, a massage therapist and labor coach with specialized training in movement therapy.
Cammermeyer, a longtime registered nurse and healthcare administrator, has conducted a number of meetings on the medical needs on South Whidbey since being appointed to the board of commissioners late last year. Earlier this month she was elected to a six-year term on the hospital board.
