District 10 state Rep. Dave Hayes, R-Camano, is now an assistant whip for the Washington State Republican Caucus, according to a recent news release.

“I am honored to be selected as assistant whip. We have some heavy-duty votes to take during the 2015 session on education, transportation, mental health, and of course, the budget,” said Hayes, in the release. “It will be important to make sure all members are on the floor and ready when it comes time to vote.”

Hayes was appointed to the leadership role by House Republican Leader Rep. Dan Kristiansen.
