The following are 9-1-1 calls to the Island County Sheriff’s Office, South Precinct.
Thursday, November 13
9:40 a.m. — A caller on Lagoon Point Road reported someone in a red Ford Aerostar van shot a deer in the area despite “No Hunting” signs. The driver left, heading toward Greenbank.
11:54 a.m. — A caller on Saratoga Road reported the theft of firewood.
12:21 p.m. — A caller on Cultus Bay Road said a vehicle crashed into a ditch. The caller heard the accident, looked outside and saw the driver flee into the woods.
2 p.m. — A caller on Pacific Dogwood Drive and Highway 525 reported illegal hunting on Whidbey Camano Land Trust property.
Friday, November 14
7:15 a.m. — A Bailey Road caller had fuel siphoned from her vehicle overnight.
11:51 a.m. — A caller on Alliance Avenue and Maple Ridge said there is a “female in my bed” that needs to be checked on. The caller was unable to give an address, stating he is in a board meeting room.
Saturday, November 15
11:56 a.m. — A Timber Lane caller advised a silver truck with chrome wheels and stickers on the back window have been driving up and down the road doing brodies and spinning out for 30 minutes.
3:24 p.m. — A caller on Longhouse Lane is going through a divorce and he just received a call from his wife saying she was going to sell all of his belongings. Caller is heading to house and stated it is “going to get ugly.”
9:44 p.m. — A Foxglove Lane caller interrupted a theft, saying he allowed some people to stay with him and came down to find them loading things into bags.
11:04 p.m. — A Longhouse Lane caller advised his wife needs to be taken to a mental institution. He stated he spoke with an attorney and now would like someone to bring her to an institution.
Monday, November 17
1:26 p.m. — A caller at a Freeland grocery store reported subject buying large amounts of dry ice.
2:28 p.m. — A Sun Vista Circle caller said a white male, aged 16-20 and wearing a beanie, camouflaged pants and a backpack, came to her door asking if she had work he could do for money.
3:17 p.m. — A caller at a Honeymoon Bay Road church reported his vehicle was keyed while parked at the church overnight.
Tuesday, November 18
12:36 a.m. — A caller at the Clinton Ferry Terminal advised someone had an AR-15 gun pointed at his head.
12:18 p.m. — A caller at the Clinton Ferry Terminal reported he left a backpack with a laptop in it on an Island Transit bus the day before, and that it was stolen.
12:30 p.m. — A caller at a Harbor Avenue bank said they received two $20 counterfeit bills. Both were sent to the Secret Service, but bank staff have seen a lot of them lately.
