To the editor:

The board of directors and staff of South Whidbey Youth Connection and the teens we serve would like to thank the Coastal Community Bank Employees Giving Fund for their continued support. For the third year in a row, this group has donated $1,000 to The Hub, our after-school program for South Whidbey teens. This year’s grant has been ear-marked to cover insurance and maintenance costs for the surplus Island Transit bus we’re sharing with South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District. We are now able to offer summer and after-school field trips at a lower cost. The support of community groups and members allow us to provide a variety of drug- and violence-free activities for South Whidbey youth. Thank you!
