A dedication ceremony of a sculpture in Paul Schell’s honor was held on Saturday at the Inn at Langley.

Architect John Underhill Ottenheimer designed and dedicated a sculpture in Schell’s honor. Schell was a former mayor of Seattle who also built the Inn at Langley and was devoted to the success of Langley. He died in 2014.

The sculpture is located in front of the Inn’s spa and near the public walkway. David Gignac, a metal sculptor, also produced a kingfisher that was place on the sculpture. Lloyd Whannell contributed red granite and placed special lettering on the sculpture.
