LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Kids who need help will get it

To the editor:

Members of South Whidbey Mardi Unit of Ryther Child Center, located in North Seattle, want to take this opportunity to thank our many auction donors, from Oak Harbor to Clinton, as well as our many friends, relatives and neighbors in making our recent fund raising dinner/auction “Ryther Rocks — on the Rock” a huge success.

Thanks to our soul mate, Jim Freeman, master of all auctioneers, for his full-fledged support of this event. He’s a keeper. Thanks, also, to the Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club for the use of there great facility. Thanks to manager Cheryl Lee and her staff for their continuing support. Thanks to Brian Kelly for your publicity releases and past support. Ryther Child Center is a one-of-a-kind facility for taking in kids who have been abused, neglected, addictions, etc.

The center is known for its professional attachment to these kids to counsel, teach and direct them into turning their lives around and becoming healthy, happy citizens of their community. On campus, supervised cottages are available for a home-like atmosphere. Several kids from our area have reaped the benefits of Ryther Child Center.

Anyone wishing to contact the center, feel free to call the following number, 206-525-5050.

This past annual event is Mardi Units contribution to Ryther Center. Thanks to all for making this event very fulfilling for all concerned.
