The rain is already here, and today there may be strong winds as well.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory Tuesday morning that cautioned winds from the southeast of 25 mph to 35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. Winds that strong can make driving difficult, the advisory said, especially for high profile vehicles and across bridges.
The hours predicted were from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 1.
South Whidbey and Central Whidbey were not listed as areas likely to be affected. Oak Harbor, however, was. The periods of strong winds were predicted between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and again between 5 and 9 p.m.
