Island County has filled two positions that have sat vacant for some time.

John Kent will serve as the county’s information technology director and Larry Van Horn will take the facilities director position.

County commissioners approved the two employment contracts at Monday’s regular meeting.

Van Horn started Tuesday and Kent will begin working May 12.

The two new directors could not be reached for interviews prior to press time.
