Clinton Community Hall and association are for you | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

Clinton Community Hall is one of four halls on Whidbey’s South End. In the Clinton village we have two public parks (Dan Porter and Clinton Beach) and two public buildings (the Clinton Public Library and Clinton Hall). The original structure, Clinton Community Hall, was conveyed to the community by its founders, the Progressive Association, in 1910. On this date the association incorporated as a nonprofit public assembly hall. We are still that same organization a century later!

Volunteers of the association operate and manage the hall, fostering stronger ties within the community and greater use by the community.

We announce our membership meetings, not to ask supporters to sit through insufferable business meeting agendas, but simply to come and take part in the invaluable process of getting to know each other, being neighborly. We’ve set our meetings to minimize business and maximize this process of learning about one another. When you see an announcement of one of our meetings, count yourself in. The rewards are great.

Thank you, on behalf of the board.

Elisa Miller
