To the editor:

The cartoon about Obama and the crocodile tears got me to wondering…

If candidates don’t accept public funding for their campaigns does that mean they do not have to acknowledge to us (the public) where their funding IS coming from?

Except for going onto the individual candidates’ constructed Web sites, where/how can the public access that kind of information?
