The Island Arts Council was presented with $1,000 from the Artists of South Whidbey for the program at South Whidbey Schools.

During the organization’s April meeting, Island Arts Council member Frank Rose accepted the check with South Whidbey High School art teacher Don Wodjenski.

The group raised funds by selling cards made by organization artists at local businesses, including Casey’s Arts & Crafts, Bayview Farm & Garden, Ace Hardware in Freeland, Callahan’s Firehouse in Langley.
