To the editor:

I have been a checker at Payless Foods for over four years. This past July, I had the honor and privilege of helping coach the SW 9-10 all-star boys baseball team all the way to the state championship. This was the fifth team of my son’s I was able to help with. These are the moments that make being a parent so wonderful. The fun and memories will last us a lifetime.

I am writing to thank my manager Tom Brown and my coworkers for allowing me the time off I needed to do this. Low on the seniority, my shifts always last until after 7 p.m. Tom made sure my days off allowed me to be at all of the games and practices. I want people in this community to feel good about shopping in a store that values family and treats its employees so well.
