Watching the Falcons will cost more next year for the Big Blue faithful.

Starting in the 2013-14 school year in August, admission to Cascade Conference athletics will cost $6 for adults. Admission will remain at $3 for students, and students with a valid Associated Student Body card will be admitted as part of the ASB card fees.

Adult fees previously cost $5.

“Athletic event admission has not increased in many years, while costs have,” said Scott Mauk, outgoing athletic director at South Whidbey High School in an email. “This change is commensurate with the Northwest Conference and WESCO athletic associations’ changes to admission.”

Going to District 1 playoff events will increase to $7 for adults and $5 for students.

Football, volleyball, basketball and wrestling have admission fees during the regular season in the Cascade Conference.
