The South Whidbey School District is looking to fill the sixth seat reserved for a student representative on the board of directors.
The position, currently held by senior Sydney Ackerman, is a one-year term that lasts from September 2014 through May 2015. The person will provide a student perspective to the board and report to students through the Associated Student Body. The student representative serves as a non-voting member of the school board and is expected to attend the board’s two meetings each month. This is the second year the board has had a student representative.
