To the editor:
June wants me to share her appreciation, no, her downright excitement for the work that was accomplished Saturday by Hearts & Hammers. Happiness is really all it is cracked to be.
Her house captain, Chris Dance, organized so well that it was as if they had all worked together for longer than today.
Her group cleaned up her flower beds and prepared them for annuals, the dump runs made a huge difference and her special wish for her enclosed porch/garden room getting new windows and roof has exceeded her imagination.
Although she insisted on hugging each and every one of her “crew,” thank you and hugs just don’t seem enough to say how much this gift of time, energy and community support means to her.
Even though she has been a longtime volunteer for Senior Services as a driver to doctor appointments and knows how good it feels to give, she is overwhelmed by this wonderful gift.
Thank you Hearts & Hammers, and big hugs all around!
