Blake Bailey of Langley has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship for $2,500 for the 2012-2013 academic year at Eastern Washington University. This award is given to incoming students with a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.8 or higher, or an SAT score of at least 1250.
Bailey will graduate from South Whidbey High School this spring, where he is involved in tennis, golf, track, the HAM Radio Club and the Robotics Club. He is also involved in the community by being a member of the Boy Scouts of America and a student leader for Younglife.
He will attend EWU as a freshman this fall.
