South Whidbey students find relief as school year ends

The school year ended Tuesday for the South Whidbey School District. The year's proximity to the end of classes is signaled by an annual field day at South Whidbey Elementary School.

South Whidbey Elementary students enjoyed a school-wide field day Tuesday, June 13. The day began with a 5-kilometer run/walk on a course around both South Whidbey elementary and primary schools and water activities at the end. Students received ribbons of participation and everyone snacked on cake in honor of physical education teacher Jan McNeely’s last field day before she retires at the end of this month.
