Brownie Troop 750 sells cookies for soldiers serving overseas

Thanks to a very generous community, South Whidbey Brownie Troop 750 sold 320 boxes of Girl Scout cookies for Operation Cookie Drop — a large increase over the number of boxes sold in previous years.

Thanks to a very generous community, South Whidbey Brownie Troop 750 sold 320 boxes of Girl Scout cookies for Operation Cookie Drop — a large increase over the number of boxes sold in previous years.

The Operation Cookie Drop program allows the public to buy Girl Scout cookies that are sent to soldiers serving outside the U.S.

During the sale, not only were local residents generous, local businesses were, too. Community Thrift, Clinton Food Mart, Freeland Shell, Langley Star Store, Ken’s Korner Red Apple, Linds of Langley, Sebo’s Hardware and Whidbey Island Bank all graciously allowed the Girl Scouts to sell cookies at the businesses.
