The ninth annual Whidbey Interfaith Vigil of Peace and Hope will be held at St. Augustine’s-in-the-Woods at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.
This year’s theme is “Federal Budget as a Moral Issue.” Contributions from Buddhist, Christian, Jewish and Muslim faith traditions will witness to peace and justice through music, chants, prayer and scripture. Karl Olsen and the Luceat Lux singers of Whidbey will provide music.
This interfaith event has been planned by representatives of the faith groups: Tahoma One Drop Zen Buddhist Monastery, Langley United Methodist, St. Augustine’s Episcopal Peace Fellowship, Trinity Lutheran, Whidbey Friends Worship Group, Whidbey Japan Friends and Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island.
