Every day makes demands on us to pay attention to claims that we are less than a child of God.

‘How Much Is Enough?’ at UUCWI
Vicki Robin will be the speaker for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island this Sunday.
With a focus on economic justice, Robin will ask, “If I knew that everyone in the world would have enough if I had only this much, would this be enough for me?” How can we develop a sense of how our lives and choices fit into the larger social and spiritual scheme in order to make this a more just world for all?
Robin is a resident of Whidbey and author of the best-selling book, “Your Money or Your Life.”

‘The Practice of Prayer’ at SWCC
Pastor Ron Wedeking continues with Part 2 of “The Practice of Prayer” at South Whidbey Community Church on Sunday. His sermon is based on Matthew 6:9-13.
Morning worship begins at 10 a.m. and is preceded by the adult learning forum at 9 a.m., with Stan Walker leading an inductive study into Paul’s Letter to the Philippians, and Art Angst leading a study into the Gospel of Luke. These are open classes, and everyone is invited.
The church will host a men’s breakfast at the Deer Lagoon Grange at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13. Chef Steve Hochenedel will prepare a memorable feast to which all men are invited. Guest speaker Dr. Tom Johnson will speak on the topic, “Marks of the Authentic Church,” from Acts 1-3. Johnson is a retired university president and professor of religious studies, as well as a gifted teacher and New Testament scholar.

St. Hubert to host Catholic Faith forum
St. Hubert Catholic Church will host an informal forum of discussion and information open to everyone to answer questions about the Catholic faith or the Church.
Are you a Catholic who has been away from the Church for whatever reason, or someone who has an interest in the Catholic faith? The parishes of the Archdiocese of Seattle are teaming up to send out these evangelizing and inspirational messages, aimed at bringing Catholics home to Church.
St. Hubert is hosting this question-and-answer forum at 4 p.m. on Palm Sunday, March 28, with a panel of parishioners and staff, headed by Father Rick Spicer.
The forum will be in Read Hall, St. Hubert Church, located at 804 Third St., Langley.

A potluck supper and fellowship will immediately follow the forum, beginning at 5:30 p.m.; bring a favorite dish and a good appetite.
Jehovah’s Witnesseshold Circuit Assembly
Jehovah’s Witnesses from Island, San Juan, Skagit and Whatcom counties will hold their annual Circuit Assembly at Bellingham High School on three sequentially scheduled assemblies on the weekends of March 13-14, March 20-21 and March 27-28.
There is expected to more than 700 attendees for each assembly. The public is invited.
Each day’s session will begin at 9:40 a.m. and it will conclude at 4 p.m. Admission is free to all in attendance, with no collections taken.
The program is Bible-based, offering practical encouragement in these troubled and difficult times. All attendees will be reminded that the Bible educates its readers how to successfully meet life’s challenges and cope with their individual trials. Entitled “Safeguard Your Spirituality,” it is based upon Romans 8:5 and Jude 17-19.
The final talk on Sunday will be entitled, “Maintaining Spiritual Health in a Sick World,” with speaker David Madsen, a traveling representative of the world headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
