The wisdom of the ‘Body Brain’ at Unity
At any given moment we are thinking a myriad of thoughts. Some thoughts pass through without much impact or consequence. Others have great consequence.
What part does the body play in the impact of thoughts in our experience? Is there a difference between thoughts and beliefs? Do beliefs live in the brain? How can awareness of this power serve us in our spiritual growth?
Join Rev. Joanna Gabriel at the Unity of Whidbey service on Sunday for a fascinating look at the divine power of wisdom within that reaches far beyond the thinking in our heads.
Unity meets at 5671 Crawford Road in Langley. For additional information or directions, call 321-5030 or check the Unity Web site at www.unityofwhidbeyisland.org.
Gain the healing strength at service
Every day makes demands on us to pay attention to claims that we are less than a child of God.
All are invited Sunday to the church to confirm our unity with the Father-Mother and to gain the healing strength to overcome such claims.
“Man and woman as coexistent and eternal with God forever reflect, in glorified quality, the infinite Father-Mother God” (“Science and Health”).
Services begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Christian Science Church at 5910 Highway 525.
‘How Much Is Enough?’ at UUCWI
Vicki Robin will be the speaker for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island this Sunday.
With a focus on economic justice, Robin will ask, “If I knew that everyone in the world would have enough if I had only this much, would this be enough for me?” How can we develop a sense of how our lives and choices fit into the larger social and spiritual scheme in order to make this a more just world for all?
Robin is a resident of Whidbey and author of the best-selling book, “Your Money or Your Life.”
All are welcome. Values-based children’s religious exploration classes and childcare will be provided. The service is at 10 a.m. at 20103 Highway 525. Check www.whidbey.com/uucwi for details.
