New student representative to be picked by South Whidbey School Board

The South Whidbey School District board of directors may select a new school board student representative for the 2015-16 school year this week.

The South Whidbey School District board of directors may select a new school board student representative for the 2015-16 school year this week.

The board will interview potential candidates at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 in the South Whidbey Elementary School Community Room. After the interviews, the board will retreat to executive session from 6:15-6:30 p.m. to evaluate the qualifications of the candidates.

Following the executive session, the board is expected to vote on a new student representative who will join the school board in fall, 2015.

The current representative is Reganne Brown, a junior at South Whidbey High School.
