John Ursillo of Clinton won the People’s Choice Award for his solvent-enhanced colored pencil piece, “Hydrangea-Scape #2: Last Blush,” at the Whidbey Island Area Fair. The award, which came with $100 in prize money, was given by the Artists of South Whidbey. Ursillo also won Best in Show and Best in Professional for the same piece.

Ginny O’Neill of Freeland obtained second place for the People’s Choice Award and took home $50 in prize money. Her painting, “Joy of the Chase,” also won Best of Painting.
