To the editor:

We want to thank the many people who helped make the recent visit to South Whidbey High School by students and teachers from Bogota, Colombia a success.

For the past six years, it has been a gift to our school to have students and teachers from Bogota share their lives and culture with us.

This year, we offer special thanks to the host families who opened their hearts and homes; to the Record for the front-page coverage in Saturday’s paper; to Jeff Greene who devoted many hours at the auditorium setting up and running the sound system for the presentation of song and dance; to the community members who attended; to the SWHS Athletic Booster Club for its generous donation of T-shirts (the girls loved them!); and to the SWHS staff and administration who were supportive throughout the week.
