‘Letting It Go’ at Unity of Whidbey

Rev. Christina Lee will speak on “Letting It Go” at the Unity of Whidbey service on Sunday.

Her talk is about the struggle for prosperity and the Universal Law of Release. Lee regularly appears at Unity of Whidbey to present Unity’s viewpoint on topics affecting people’s daily lives. She addresses a spiritual consideration many people overlook as their wants, needs and desires lead them through the day. She describes how our spiritual response can awaken the tangible results that manifest change.

Pastor Wenzek gives sermon at SWCC

The sermon topic for Sunday morning at South Whidbey Community Church will be “The Person God Wants You to Be,” presented by co-pastor Darrell Wenzek.

Sunday morning, the church’s adult forum classes will be in full swing with Stan Walker leading a discussion on the book of Acts and Ken Goff leading a discussion through the Old Testament book of 1st Samuel, on the life of David. Classes begin at 9, and morning worship is from 10 to 11 a.m.

Our brain’s creation story told at UUCWI

At the Sunday service for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island, Connie Barlow will discuss evolutionary brain science in the context of the tools it offers to assist people in leading fulfilled lives.

Barlow is an acclaimed author of popular science books and articles, and developer of “The Great Story” Web site. Her most recent book, “The Ghosts of Evolution,” was Amazon’s top-recommended science book for several months in 2001.

“Soul, or Spirit, is God, unchangeable and eternal; and man coexists with and reflects Soul, God, for man is God’s image.” (Science and Health). This means that your soul can’t be lost or ever separated from God; consequently, God can be an ever-present help, always in communication with each of us.
