A father and son heading home from a successful day of fishing off Bush Point fell victim to heavy rain and slick streets Friday afternoon.

Around 4:45 p.m., the Honda Pilot towing a 19-foot Bayliner hydroplaned near the Bush Point Road intersection with Highway 525. The car bumped into the south guard rail, crossed the opposite lane of traffic and tumbled down a ditch, rolling the SUV onto its driver-side door.

The man and his adult son exited the vehicle, unharmed, through the sunroof. The boat and trailer did not flip over, and appeared to be undamaged.
