“Mortals and Immortals,” an examination of Jesus’ teachings about the immortality of God’s creation, will be discussed at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Christian Science Society, 15910 Highway 525.

“ … Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness, (I Thessalonians 5:5).”

People sometimes use the term “Mind over matter,” thinking in terms of the human mind, or will power, to overcome disharmony, but Jesus taught that divine mind (God, spirit) triumphs over disease, sin and death (darkness). Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven, (Matthew 5: 16).”
