South Whidbey Fire/EMS will receive 3 cents of the Whidbey General Hospital EMS levy for the coming years.
An agreement between South Whidbey’s emergency response agencies will cover “consumables” for South Whidbey Fire/EMS such as gloves, bandages and other items kept in the district’s MERVs — major emergency response vehicles. The contract includes an opt-out clause for either party and was changed to be a perpetuating annual agreement from an annually approved one-year contract, said South Whidbey Fire/EMS Chief Rusty Palmer.
