South Whidbey’s offense found its mojo in Sultan in a 52-47 loss Wednesday night.

The Falcon girls basketball team lost its third game of the season and Cascade Conference opener to the Turks, despite getting a game-high 21 points from sophomore Megan Drake.

The Falcons received a trio of scoring from Drake, senior Abby Hodson and sophomore Kinsey Eager. Hodson added 10 points, Eager nine. Only three other Falcons scored, however, while the Turks had seven scorers, led by Khayla Mackenzie’s 12 points.

The score was tied 19-19 at halftime, but Sultan broke out to a seven-point lead at the end of the third quarter. South Whidbey made a furious rally, scoring 18 points in the final eight minutes, but Sultan kept pace, also scoring 18 points.
