LETTER TO THE EDITOR | I’m stepping down for city’s interests

Editor, After much consideration I have decided that in the best interest for Langley, I will resign my position on the city council Jan. 1, 2106, if Tim Callison is elected mayor. I have immensely enjoyed my time of service to the community and will miss my interaction with my fellow council members.

Editor,

After much consideration I have decided that in the best interest for Langley, I will resign my position on the city council Jan. 1, 2106, if Tim Callison is elected mayor.

I have immensely enjoyed my time of service to the community and will miss my interaction with my fellow council members.

I believe that I have acted in a manner that puts the interest of the city first, and in resigning I am following in that spirit.

Tim Callison is the best candidate to guide Langley into the future. He embodies the qualities that Langley needs. He is an inspiring leader, thought-provoking problem solver, honest, honorable and hardworking. His untarnished reputation, vast work experience and his ability to lead and uplift those surrounding him all reflect the values that are important to an effective governance.

Because of my love of Langley, I don’t want my serving alongside my husband to prevent people from voting for the best person for the job. I will respectfully step back, so our town can flourish.

With gratitude,

ROBIN BLACK
