LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Voters’ support in District 3 commissioner race was greatly appreciated

Editor, I would like to thank the large number of voters who supported me in the primary election for Island County commissioner District 3. It was an honor to lead a large field of candidates and I appreciate your confidence. Our communities deserve leaders who will listen and represent every resident. Our citizens deserve access to good public transportation and to educational institutions. Our seniors deserve to age in place in the communities they helped build. Our residents deserve the best safety services from first responders and to the county emergency management team. Our islands must be environmentally protected so we have access to clean water and our rural life style is maintained.

I plan to work hard with community groups and leaders to find ways of supporting and building economic development on both islands.

Island County is my home. I am honored by your support and will continue to work hard.
