Agnes “Toots” Kieffer, 88, of Coupeville, died March 15, 2007 at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville. She was born May 10, 1918 in Cayuga, N.D., the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude Brickzin. She was predeceased by her parents, her 10 brothers and three sisters and by her husband, John Kieffer, and son, Harry Kieffer.

She is survived by her two sons, Tom of Coupeville and Dick (Jenny) of Langley; granddaughter Liana Kieffer of Renton; nieces Donna Larson of New York and Gladys Lewis of Maryland; as well as many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Agnes and John moved to the Rainier Beach area of Seattle from North Dakota in 1940 where they raised their three sons, Harry, Tom and Dick. She moved to her island property in 1992. Her family was the love of her life.
