Sandra Dillon

Sandra Dillon passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

She was the youngest and last surviving of three children born to Edward and Hazel Heiberger. She was born on Aug. 5, 1945 in Azusa, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, best friend and faithful caregiver for the past 38 years, Donald Dillon of Langley. Donald is currently employed by Good Cheer. In addition to her husband she is survived by three nieces, Deborah (Douglas) Holbert of Langley, Sandra (Robert) Davis of Sedro-Woolley, Kim Cooke of Springfield, Ore. and two nephews, Raymond Cook of Springfield, Ore., and Lonnie Cook of Eugene, Ore. as well as several great nieces and nephews. Sandra spent most of her life in California but relocated six years ago to Washington to be near her only family. She was a woman with simple needs who took joy in the accomplishments of her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

At her request no services will be held. Her husband has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Good Cheer here on the island, a charity close to her heart.
