Vardean Smith of Freeland passed away on March 13, 2010 at the age of 83.

Vardean was born July 20, 1926 to Evans Vard and Lena Laura Arnold Carscaden.

Vardean is survived by her husband Frank E. Smith; children Cherie Smith (Lee), Pennee Mecham (Michael) and Pamela Wasmund (Michael) and Janet Nafziger (Jerry), Kenneth Smith and Michael Smith; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20 at the Eagles Aerie at 16691 Highway 525, Freeland. A private interment is at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery in Seattle.
