Ida Marie Denamur died May 7, 2002, in Coupeville.

She was born in South Dakota on Oct. 5, 1917, to William Louis and Hazel Bell (Wilcuts) Skinner, the oldest of five children.

As a young girl she moved with her family to Western Washington. On June 28, 1935, she married Robert J. Denamur. They had three children. They lived in Everett until the 1950s, when they built their home at Useless Bay in Freeland.

Marie was active in many organizations and clubs, including Amaranth, Eagles, American Legion, Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club, and Eastern Star for 54 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, crafts and gardening. She worked at the Bayview Senior Center delivering Meals on Wheels until her retirement.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Bob.

She is survived by two daughters, Dolores Drew and husband Gene of Snohomish and Annette Kirkham and husband John of Clinton; a son, James Denamur and wife Joan of Elizabeth, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd and Dick Skinner, and a sister, Lucille Richardson, all in Washington state; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

There will be a private interment. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 2 p.m. May 15 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett.
