Gregory Earl Rayon, age 57, of Clinton, died at his home on Saturday,
March 20, 2010, bringing an end to a long and painful battle with cancer.
Greg was born in Hood River, Ore. on Jan. 20, 1953, to Earl and Lorene (Owen) Rayon.
He was raised in Spokane and was a graduate of North Central High School in 1971. He moved to Portland in 1978, and then to Seattle and Whidbey Island in the late 1980s.
Greg was employed as restaurant/bar manager at Cozy’s Road House in Clinton for a number of years. He loved baseball, and most especially enjoyed watching his Mariners. He also enjoyed golf and bowling, and was a pro bowler for a time. He liked to gamble, and enjoyed listening to classic rock and blues.
Greg leaves his son Chad Rayon (Athena) and granddaughter Alianna Rayon, all of Milwaukie, Ore.; sister Cheryl Vota of Lynnwood; brother Larry Rayon of Clinton; also, his very best friend, Jerry Fiddler of Spokane, and a host of other family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held.
Greg will be laid to rest at Fairmont Memorial Park in Spokane, next to his mother and his grandparents.
