After a valiant, six-year battle with ovarian cancer, Carole Ruth Pascoe Mason (Oct. 16, 1947 to July 14, 2007) went to be with her Lord and Savior.
She follows her brother, Roger, and father, Wilfred into everlasting life. Surviving are her loving husband, George; children, Tamera Fallon, Todd Mutchler, and Scott Mutchler; as well as her mother, Annette Pascoe; brothers Richard and Kenneth Pascoe; and many dear relatives and friends.
Carole was a much-loved teacher at South Whidbey Intermediate and middle schools, teaching English and journalism with a passion that has resonated in many of her students to this day.
The family wishes to especially thank the women from the Bible class at Trinity Lutheran Church and so many dear friends for providing meals and transportation.
Carole was our candle, providing never-ceasing warmth and light, courage and strength. She was our inspiration, her flicker reminding us of all that is good regardless of life’s trials and tribulations.
“This little light of mine, we’re going to let it shine. We’re going to miss you,” Sis.
A memorial service for all friends and family will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland.
Interment was in the Langley Cemetery. Please send memorials to the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, 1221 Madison St., Suite 1401, Seattle, WA 98104.
