Tony Allen Van Riper died suddenly in Greenbank on Sept. 16, 2009.

He was born May 18, 1972 in north Kansas City, Mo. to Scott and Linda Van Riper.

He grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Oak Park High School in 1990. He moved to Freeland in 2003, where he married his wife, Angela, on

Sept. 25, 2004.

He is survived by his wife Angela Van Riper of Greenbank, parents Linda and James Gleghorn of Kansas City, Mo.; parents Scott and Jan Van Riper of Freeland; brother Chris Van Riper and stepsisters, Kristin Crouch and Erin Crouch of the family home in Freeland; grandparents Roy and Lesley Van Riper of Freeland; lifelong friend, Jeff Darby of Freeland and extended family throughout Washington, California and Missouri. He will be missed by all.

A private memorial was held on Sept. 20 at the family home in Freeland.

Tony will be laid to rest next to his brother Jon Williams in Kansas City, Mo.
