Gordon Hans “Gordy” Rowe, 84, died Dec. 11, 2003, of pneumonia.
He was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Seattle to Hans and Esther Rowe. He was a sportsman, craftsman, family man, and a jack-of-all-trades. His family said he was a good man to have around the house and was always interested in perfection. He was a wind tunnel model maker for Boeing, and retired after 42 years. He and his wife, Marie, then moved to Whidbey Island, where they became involved in Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club, where he taught and shot; South Whidbey Shrine Club; Langley Lodge 218 AF&AM; and Langley Chapter 159 O.E.S.
He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Marie; three daughters, Pat (and Tom) Neva, Lynn Hunt and Susan Flister; six grandchildren, Keith, Dana Shannon, Tommy, Annalisa and Eric; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Destiny, Dominic and Skylar.
