Edward G. Chapin, 53, of Langley, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010.

Ed worked at Boeing for 33 years, where he started as a mechanic and worked his way up to become director of manufacturing for the 777 program.

Ed is survived by his wife Nancy Chapin of Langley and five children, Tim Boyle of Seattle, Joey Boyle (U.S. Air Force) of North Carolina, Andrew and Summer Boyle (U.S. Air Force) of New Mexico, Tommy Boyle (U.S. Navy) of Everett, and Erin Chapin of Renton.

Ed loved golfing, and boating with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Ed would like donations in his honor be sent to WAIF.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland.
