Ronald “Ron” Edwards was born Feb. 5, 1947. He passed away April 30, 2008 in Laguna Beach, Calif.

He was born to Raymond W. Edwards, Sr. and Ena F. Edwards (Jackie) in Brownwood, Texas.

The family moved to Coupeville in 1952.

Ron graduated from Coupeville High School in 1965 and joined the Island County Sheriff’s Office in 1968. He graduated from the FBI Academy in 1985.

Dad, we miss you.

But the pain is now gone

We all got to say goodbye

And forever in our hearts

Nothing in this world

Could ever tear that adapt

We will carry your name on

You are never more than a thought away

Continue to look over us

To make sure we’re okay
